Cold Sores

Cold sores are also called as fever blisters. They are caused by the virus HSV-1. They are of two types: Type 1 and Type 2. Either type can be caught on any part of the body: lips and genitals are the most common places. Cold sores are only caught by direct skin contact with the affected area, not through sharing cups, cutlery, towels, etc. The best remedy to overcome cold sore is to take lysine rich food as they act by blocking arginine.
