An Extensive Single Centre experience with the Biological Prosthesis PermacolTM in Paediatric Surgery

Introduction: The use of prosthetic patches of non-absorbable materials represents a valid tool within the treatment of paries and diaphragmatic defects in paediatric age. In recent years analysis has developed biological dermal scaffolds made of a sheet of single-celled matrix that may give the required support and cut back the prevalence of complications from non-absorbable implant.
